Chief Operating Officer Singapore / Southeast Asia
Letters I answer, and the subjects I must decline
A contract manufacturer is trusted for what its plants do after the customer's auditor has gone home.
Three kinds of letter reach me that I am glad to answer. The first comes from nominating committee chairs and search partners considering me for an independent seat on an industrial board in Singapore or Malaysia. Tell me where the company's plants are, what share of its workforce is migrant or contract labour, which committee you have in mind and whether the company deals with Kelvorne, Varunda or our recruitment agencies, so that I can check conflicts before we speak. The second comes from operations leaders and supplier-quality heads who want to compare methods for line transfers, recruitment-fee remediation or shared audits; I learn a great deal from these exchanges and will share whatever Kelvorne has made public. The third is an invitation to speak to manufacturing, labour-practice or director audiences.
I cannot discuss Kelvorne's customers, prices, unannounced plans or results, introduce suppliers or recruitment agencies, or consider executive roles while the Batu Kawan expansion is under way. Please write through the details on this page. I answer myself, usually within ten days.
