Chief Information Officer Japan

Writing to me about boards and buildings

A railway landlord's systems earn their keep when they can tell a tenant, within the hour, what is known about the building and what is not.

Please write if you chair a nomination committee or advise one and are filling an outside directorship at a listed Japanese company whose sites run on control systems and must recover quickly after an earthquake. It helps me to know the company's main sites, its board structure, which committees you have in mind and any dealings it has with the Masaragi group, including tenancies, so that I can check conflicts before we speak. I am also glad to hear from building owners, facility managers and other information officers comparing notes on tenant status services, vendor remote access, handover data or inspection records, and from organisers of talks for those audiences.

There are things I cannot discuss. Masaragi Corporation is listed and the J-REIT is listed, so I will not talk about results, acquisitions or anything not already published. I do not evaluate products for vendors through this page, and I am not considering executive moves. I read every message myself and usually reply within ten days, in Japanese or English.
