Chief Strategy Officer India
Bring the alternative the proposal has left out
I make growth proposals explain the usable inputs, ownership commitments and scarce capital behind the revenue they invite us to pursue.
Bring the growth choice whose headline number currently hides its conditions. Does the proposal depend on a collected input that still needs qualification, a revenue model that transfers ownership risk, or capital that another initiative also requires? I would begin with the alternatives and the owner of each critical assumption. A cleared planning example is sufficient; private fleet, customer or technical assessment records are unnecessary for an opening conversation. My executive interest is in making those choices explicit before the enterprise commits. A chair considering my first outside role should explain which strategic assumption directors need help examining and how 24 proposed annual days would fit the board’s work. Further governance learning, employer consent and a specific eligibility review remain necessary. My beneficial 0.1% employer interest would be disclosed. I would contribute to the commercial judgement, without treating the appointment as technical authority over casings or product release.
