Write about the board, not a booking

If you are considering me for a board, please tell me what the company does, how it is owned and which committee would expect my contribution. A sentence on the operating system or technology decision that prompted the search will help me prepare useful questions. I am glad to speak with a chair, a nomination committee member or a search firm acting for the company. Please keep confidential board papers, vendor contracts and passenger data back at this stage; we can agree a proper process if a conversation continues.
