If your board is weighing a core-system replacement, a major outsourcing or cloud arrangement, or a fraud control that affects customers, I would be glad to hear how the question arose and what the board has already been shown. A short note covering the organisation's sector, ownership, the committee involved and the expected time commitment is enough for a first exchange. Please leave vendor names, incident details and customer data out of an initial message.
