Start with where the company earns and borrows

Tell me about the company first: its sector, its ownership, the markets in which it earns and borrows, and why the board is looking for another member now. I am most interested in situations involving a long capital programme, a sale or lease of major assets, or a decision about which currency to fund in. Please say whether the role is an Indonesian commissioner seat or a non-executive directorship elsewhere, which committee you have in mind and how many days a year it requires. Because I serve on the board of directors of a listed company, I cannot discuss Lintasvara's unpublished results, pricing or funding plans, and any appointment would need my board's approval after a conflict review. A chair, president commissioner or search adviser is welcome to make the first approach.
