Chief Executive Officer Canada
Describe the business decision, without client details
An insurance recommendation should show the choice the client is being asked to make.
A useful introduction would describe the advice-led business, its ownership and the decision the board is preparing to make. Please explain whether the need concerns growth, professional capability, acquisition integration or another issue that fits my experience. The expected calendar and any relationship with Talbrienne, our clients or the insurers we work with would also matter at the outset. I am not using this fictional demonstration to solicit insurance business, review a policy or provide advice on an individual claim. Those matters need the authorised channels and professionals responsible for them. For a potential board conversation, begin with a short account that does not disclose confidential client details. I can then consider whether the subject fits, what consent or professional review is needed and how a more detailed exchange could be arranged appropriately.
