Name the organisation, and I will check for conflicts first

A note from a board chair, nominating committee or search adviser is the right start. Tell me what data your organisation holds on behalf of others, which new uses are under discussion and which committee the seat would join. Please also name the organisation early, so that I can check it against Pellarwick's customer, competitor and supplier lists before we spend time on a conversation; I would rather decline at that stage than after a meeting. I can usually reply within a week and meet in Edmonton, Calgary or by video. I am not able to discuss Pellarwick's products, pricing, customer contracts or any acquisition, and requests of that kind should go to the company directly. Recruiters seeking a full-time chief data officer for another company should know that I am not considering an executive move.
