Start with the people and the product

For an executive discussion, please describe the product, the people using it and the commercial responsibility intended for the role. I would want to understand the ownership structure, leadership team and the decisions that currently connect research with investment. For a board enquiry, outline the contribution sought, committee expectations, calendar and relationships that may create a conflict with my employer. An initial conversation would establish fit and the preparation required; it would not be a product assessment or an offer to certify compliance. This is a fictional leadership example with no real contact details. A member adapting it should use an approved professional channel and state their actual availability, current directorships and permissions. Please avoid including confidential customer research or personal information in an introductory message unless an appropriate process has first been agreed.
