Opening a conversation about a board seat

If you are a chair, a nomination committee member or a search adviser considering an outside-director appointment, I would be glad to hear from you. A short note on the company, its home market, the committee you have in mind and the expected meeting calendar is enough for a first conversation. Please tell me early about any trading relationship with Sawanagi Stores, Mitsurane Procurement, Akanemori Stores or Utsumineya, as that may decide the matter before we go further. I cannot discuss our network plans, store closures, alliance terms or supplier negotiations outside the company. Questions from customers, suppliers or job applicants should go to the relevant Sawanagi department, not to this page. I read and reply in Japanese or English. Any appointment would require my employer's written consent first, so please allow time for that step before proposing dates.
