Confidential mandate
Chief Executive Officer — Board Practice
Open for approach
Lead the independent director practice — board search, board evaluation and the India ID Exchange that sits underneath them.
The seat
Board search is a different business from C-suite search, and running it as though it were the same is how firms fail at it. A nomination committee is not a hiring manager, the fee is a fraction of an executive mandate, and the appointment is decided by fit with a board's existing composition rather than by the candidate's own record.
This role owns that practice: independent director search, board evaluation, and the India ID Exchange — the platform where directors are assessed, listed and matched to seats.
What you own
- Board search. Independent directors, chairs, committee specialists. Direct mandates and company postings both.
- The Exchange. A live registry of assessed directors and open seats, with a governance dataset behind it covering listed-company board composition, tenure, independence ratios and committee overlap.
- Board evaluation. A practice with real demand and no scaled offering yet. Building it is part of this seat.
- Regulatory credibility. The practice's standing with committees, regulators and the institutions that shape governance in India.
Be clear-eyed about the economics
ID search fees are thin next to C-suite search. Treated as a profit centre in isolation this practice will disappoint, and anybody who reads it that way is reading it wrong. It is the credibility engine: it puts us in front of boards before they have an executive search to run, and it feeds the practices that do carry the margin.
If you want a business measured on its own billings, this is not it. If you want to build the governance standing that makes the rest possible, it is.
This mandate is confidential. The client is named only under a mutual NDA, and your own record is never listed, sold or shown to a company under your name until you release it for this specific mandate.
