The database had been restored, and I told management that the recovery test was successful. In 2019 that seemed a reasonable description of the work we had just demonstrated. It was not a sufficient description of the insurance service. When colleagues attempted 240 invented representative tasks, 192 completed and 48 could not retrieve attachments stored outside the database. We had recovered an important component while leaving a dependency outside the test, and my summary had turned the component result into a stronger claim.
We broadened the recovery exercise to include the document store and the identity, permission and network dependencies needed by the task. The change cost ₹1.4 crore, with ₹18 lakh annual exercise and support expense retained separately. On retesting the same 240 tasks, 231 passed and nine still required an assisted route while repair continued. The account describes a rehearsal, not lost customer records or a production insurance incident. The nine unfinished tasks remained visible rather than disappearing from the denominator to restore my original successful label.
I grew up in Vadodara and completed computer science at the fictional Qevnemri Computing College in May 1998. I joined Vezqenmi Distribution Systems as a systems analyst that July. The ninety-two-person distribution-services business recorded ₹18.6 crore revenue for FY ending March 1999. I was one of eight technology colleagues without direct reports or delegated spending. Early work taught me to follow a transaction beyond the technical response and ask what the receiving colleague could actually understand and do next.
In July 2004 I became integration lead. Vezqenmi then had 210 employees and ₹67 crore revenue for FY ending March 2005. Twenty-four colleagues worked within ₹1.8 crore annual operating expense under the technology head. The role required more coordination across systems and people whose responsibilities did not end at the same point. A connection could be available while the receiving process still lacked something essential. I learned to ask which party owned the next condition rather than treat every successful exchange as a completed business service.
I joined Nevqemzi in September 2008 as platform manager. The fictional insurer employed 320 people and recorded ₹410 crore gross written premium for FY ending March 2009. Thirty-seven technology colleagues worked within ₹6.4 crore annual operating expense under the CIO. Insurance required me to learn the professional meaning behind the system record. Underwriting and claims colleagues owned decisions that technology could represent but not invent. A platform needed to make authorised work possible while preserving the conditions and evidence on which the professional account relied.
From April 2015 I was head of IT. Nevqemzi had 590 employees and ₹1,090 crore gross written premium for FY ending March 2016. Sixty-eight colleagues worked within ₹14.2 crore annual operating expense under the CIO. My recovery-test mistake belongs to that period. I had enough experience to know that applications depended on more than a database, yet I accepted a narrower test result when describing readiness. The correction changed how I ask for demonstrations: the question is which complete task has been exercised, not only which technical component has returned to service.
I became CIO in January 2021. Today eighty-two employees work through six heads, with sixteen contractors counted separately. I report to Faisal Zeqvenmi and work with Leena Qezvemni on operating consequences. My remit includes ₹22.6 crore annual operating expense and ₹8.3 crore approved change investment, with finance owning accounting classification. Nevqemzi's eighteen branches employ 740 people and recorded ₹1,680 crore gross written premium for FY ending March 2026. A domestic investor owns 58%, an industrial group 27% and employees 15%, including my 0.4%. I have no statutory seat.
Recent decisions have examined offline policy views, certificate ownership, test-data design and the quality of exported Hindi documents. Their common question is what a successful technical statement actually establishes. They require different responses: a visible snapshot age, accountable renewal work, representative material with appropriate restrictions, or testing the document a person receives rather than only the preview. None of those changes allows technology to declare coverage, settle a claim or certify every legal and professional condition of the service.
I am based in Indore and work in English, Hindi and Gujarati. Databank registration was completed in March 2026 and proficiency assessment in September in this fictional account. A first outside appointment would still require employer consent, qualified eligibility and conflict review, and realistic capacity for twenty-two provisional days. I would bring questions about the scope of technology evidence while learning the receiving enterprise. The board contribution I seek is to improve collective understanding of what management has demonstrated and what remains unresolved, not to direct another company's technical teams from outside.
