Chief Executive Officer Australia
Write to me with the decision your board is facing
A property group keeps its securityholders' patience by selling what it would not buy today and building only what it can explain.
The most useful note is a short email that names the decision behind it. A chair or nomination committee considering a non-executive appointment of the kind on my readiness page should tell me the organisation, the capital programme or portfolio question in front of the board, the committees involved and the time expected. I reply within a fortnight, and I will say early if Corvalla's interests rule me out. Conference and university organisers are welcome to ask me to speak on capital allocation, construction contracts or rental housing supply, provided the session leaves room for disagreement. Chief executives and investment heads at other property and infrastructure owners can write to compare approaches. I do not take approaches for executive roles at present. I cannot comment on Corvalla's results beyond our published disclosures, on assets we may buy or sell, or on tenders in progress, and I do not review development proposals or planning applications sent without invitation. Residents of our rental buildings should contact their building manager, whose details are in every lease.
