Chief Technology Officer China

Who should write, what to include, and what I will decline

An insurer may measure a farmer's loss from orbit, but the method has to be one the farmer can check from the edge of the field.

Three kinds of message are welcome here. The first is from nomination committee chairs and search partners considering an independent director for a listed company in agricultural machinery, farm inputs or food processing. Please say which committees need filling, how often the board meets, and whether the company or its major shareholders insure with Hesui, hold Hesui shares or sell to insurers, because any of those would end the conversation and I would rather know at once. The second is from technology and claims leaders at other insurers, or researchers working on remote sensing, sampling or fairness testing, who want to compare methods; I enjoy those exchanges as long as neither of us discusses pricing, partner terms or loss data. The third is from organisers of agricultural-insurance, remote-sensing or claims-technology events looking for a speaker on what imagery and models can and cannot decide.

Please do not write to sell technology or data services to Hesui; our procurement team handles those, and I take no introductions outside it. I am not considering executive roles. I read everything sent through this page and answer within ten working days.
