Chief Executive Officer China

Writing to me, and what I cannot discuss

A storage station earns its place by the hours it serves the grid, not by the rule that once required someone to build it.

Please write to me if you are assembling a listed board in mainland China or Hong Kong that needs someone who understands electricity markets and industrial safety, and if the company has no dealings with storage, with Qianyue or with our shareholders. A short note naming the company, its controlling shareholder, the committees in question and the meeting calendar lets me check conflicts and my own diary before we speak. I am equally glad to hear from grid engineers, storage operators and lenders who want to compare how stations are traded, maintained or financed, and from organisers of technical meetings on power markets and battery safety.

There are three things I cannot discuss: our trading positions and bidding strategy, commercial terms with any customer or supplier, and any incident that has not been published or reported to the authorities. I am not considering executive roles elsewhere. I read every message myself, in Mandarin or English, and reply within about ten days.
