Tell me about the decision your board faces

If your board is weighing a merger, a partnership, a footprint change or a question about whether to stay independent, I would welcome a short description of the decision and its timing. It would help to know the organisation's ownership, the committee where you see me contributing and the meeting calendar, so that I can judge whether twenty-five days a year is enough. Please do not send confidential member, customer or financial data at this stage; a general outline is sufficient for a first conversation with the chair or your search adviser. Any appointment would need my chief executive's consent and a review of links with Kalverrin. I read every enquiry myself and will say promptly if the role is not a good fit.
