Chief Operating Officer United States
Tell me what the company does physically
Every promise a cooperative makes to its member grocers is paid for in somebody's working hours, in a freezer, a cab or a backroom.
If you are a chair, a nominating committee member or a search adviser, please start by telling me what the company does physically: how many sites, vehicles or stores, and roughly how many people work in them. Then tell me why the board wants another director and which committee you have in mind. That is usually enough for me to judge whether a call would help either of us. I will check any proposal against Hollisford's supplier and member relationships before discussing it in detail, so knowing the company's name early is useful. Questions about the cooperative's purchasing, membership or delivery service should go to Hollisford directly, where the right colleague can answer them. I read each message myself and reply within a week, including when my answer is no, and I will say why if a relationship check is the reason.
