An invitation
Begin with the task the offer needs to explain
Start with the boundary the freight offer needs to explain. It may concern work before pickup, the receiving day, a return decision owned by another party or the period equipment remains with a customer. A short fictionalised outline of the choice is enough for an initial discussion. Please leave consignment identities, merchant agreements and unreleased commercial terms out of the opening note until the purpose and appropriate handling have been agreed. For a possible board role, describe the institution’s service model, the contribution sought and the expected demands of a first appointment. My current employment and relevant partner relationships would need examination. A speaking enquiry can identify the audience and the product question they want to practise using cleared material. This contact context is not a shipment-tracking, customs or refund service. I would first establish whether the proposed discussion fits my experience and whether it can proceed within the responsibilities and clearance attached to my present role.
