The discussion a product demonstration leaves behind
I use the thirty-two-opportunity review to examine what a supplier may miss when it describes a stalled purchase as a failure of awareness. Participants distinguish operational priorities, budget timing and executive sponsorship, then consider what material would help the people inside the buying group continue their discussion. The case keeps its selected sample and date-specific classifications visible, so the room cannot turn the findings into a universal account of enterprise buying.
The session asks participants to bring a question about their own decision process rather than confidential customer details. We examine when another demonstration would be useful, when a financial assumption needs work and when the supplier should accept that the customer is not ready. I also discuss the limits of marketing's claimed contribution: a better explanation may support a decision without establishing a causal sales result. The intended outcome is a more precise brief for commercial material and a clearer understanding of which responsibility remains with the buyer. It is a professional discussion, not a promise of faster conversion.
