The first mount remained still during the demonstration. That was the result I had allowed to carry too much of the approval decision. Under a later repeated-load review, twelve of forty rigs tilted while twenty-eight held their position. We stopped 240 preproduction units before shipment and spent ₹62 lakh on redesign, with a seven-week delay. The equipment was intended for teaching, and the case does not invent a patient event. It does show why I now ask which conditions a successful demonstration has actually represented before letting it stand for a broader engineering conclusion.
I grew up in Madurai and completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Ravqethi Institute of Mechanical Engineering in June 2002. I speak Tamil, Kannada and English, with working Hindi, and now live in Mangaluru. In July 2002 I joined Tazqeli Workshop Instruments as a mechanical design engineer. The company employed 45 people and recorded ₹8.6 crore revenue for FY ending March 2003. I worked in a six-engineer group under the design manager without direct reports or spending authority. I learned to connect a drawing with the adjustments, handling and repeated use that a workshop would ask of the mechanism.
In May 2007 I became product engineer. Tazqeli had 110 employees and ₹27 crore revenue for FY 2008. I led twelve engineers through two leads with ₹2.8 crore annual engineering expense, reporting to the technical head. The role expanded my responsibility from the geometry of a component to the behaviour of a product over its intended use. A plausible design still needed evidence from the conditions that mattered. I began to work more closely with the people who installed, maintained and used the equipment, learning that their practical difficulty could expose an assumption a drawing review had left untouched.
I moved to Tevzuni Dental Simulation Works in September 2012 as head of mechanical design. The company employed ninety people and recorded ₹24 crore revenue for FY 2013. I led eighteen engineers through three leads with ₹4.6 crore annual expense, reporting to the CEO. The equipment was used in dental teaching rooms, which introduced educational responsibilities outside my professional authority. I could lead the mechanical design and explain its tested behaviour. I could not decide that a successful engineering check established a student's clinical competence or prescribe the teaching judgement that an educator should make from it.
In April 2017 I became head of engineering. Tevzuni had 140 employees and ₹41 crore revenue for FY 2018. I led 29 engineers through three heads with ₹7.8 crore annual expense. The mount decision occurred in 2018, early in that wider remit. I had approved a geometry on evidence that did not sufficiently represent repeated loading. The later forty-rig result challenged the approval, and we held the 240 preproduction units. The technical team needed to redesign, the commercial team needed to explain the delay and I needed to acknowledge why the first conclusion had been too broad. Detection was useful, but it was not a reason to omit my responsibility.
I became CTO in February 2022. Today we employ 185 people and serve 28 college customers. I lead 38 engineers through four heads with ₹10.2 crore annual engineering expense and a separate ₹3.4 crore approved capital allocation, reporting to Saira Qavthuri. Meghna Qervesi advises on education. Founder engineers hold 60% and employee owners 40%; my 4% of total equity sits inside the employee holding. It is a material interest to disclose when considering another role, not an extra percentage to add to the ownership total or a reason to presume independence.
Recent work has broadened the conditions we examine. A positioning review included left-handed participants whose experience the first geometry did not adequately serve. Force-display checks required us to preserve the reference points that failed rather than report only the majority that met the agreed specification. Shared-room response testing exposed a long delay tail that an isolated bench demonstration did not show. A cassette latch redesign improved some reviewed installations but still left four unresolved in a separate 200-attempt test, so broader release remained paused. These cases do not all end with a product launch, and none proves an educational or clinical outcome by itself.
I have presented engineering and investment matters to directors through the CEO but hold no statutory board seat. The fictional record includes IICA registration in June 2026, with the assessment unfinished and no exemption. I would consider one first outside contribution with twenty-one provisional days, employer consent and qualified review of relationships and eligibility. I would bring questions about the scope of evidence and the people or conditions a demonstration leaves out, while expecting to learn the receiving enterprise's entire business. Engineering judgement is useful to a board when it strengthens collective decisions, not when it turns every discussion into another product review.
