Write with a problem, not only a title
A smart meter shows a retailer that a household is struggling long before a bill goes unpaid, and the first use of that knowledge must be to help.
Most of the useful letters I receive start with a problem rather than a role. If you chair a nomination committee or work as a search partner and are filling a non-executive seat at a water utility, health insurer, customer-owned bank or similar household-facing organisation, tell me the committees involved, the expected calendar and whether your organisation has any dealings with Wirrandel Energy, so that I can check conflicts before we speak.
I am also glad to hear from financial counsellors and consumer advocates who see the effects of energy-data decisions, from data leaders in other essential services working on hardship or automated-decision questions, and from regulators' staff who want a practitioner's view. I give a few talks a year and prefer small rooms with time for disagreement.
I cannot discuss Wirrandel's trading positions, unpublished results, individual customers or anything that might move its share price, and I do not take approaches from vendors through this page. Please write through the contact route shown here. Every message reaches me personally, and I aim to answer within ten working days.
