Chief Strategy Officer Singapore / Southeast Asia
Writing to me about boards, transition work or a talk
In Southeast Asia a coal plant closes when its contracts allow it to, so I plan the energy transition one signature at a time.
If you chair a nominating committee or lead a search in Singapore or Malaysia, I would be glad to hear about a non-executive seat outside power generation. A first message helps most when it names the company, the committees involved, the expected meeting calendar and any dealings it has with Lintasari, Kelawari Holdings Berhad or their affiliates, because I need those facts to rule out conflicts before we speak. Strategy and transition colleagues at other utilities, development finance specialists and researchers working on coal retirement or cross-border trade are welcome to write and compare experience. I also accept a small number of invitations each year to speak at industry or policy gatherings.
There are limits. I cannot discuss Lintasari's bids, our negotiations with state buyers or anything not yet disclosed to SGX, and I do not answer approaches from equipment or carbon-credit vendors. I am not considering executive moves before the Johor closure is complete. I read every message myself and normally reply within ten working days.
