Chief Product Officer Canada
Write about boards and transit product, not about live tenders
Transit software should be built for its worst morning and its least-served rider, and priced so that fare policy never moves the vendor's revenue.
I hope to hear from three groups in particular. A nomination committee chair, a Crown-corporation appointments office or a search partner thinking of me for an independent seat should tell me the organisation, the committees concerned, the meeting calendar and any connection it has with Halvery, with Brackenridge Lane Partners or with a transit agency, so that I can test for conflicts before we speak. Product and accessibility leaders in public services are welcome to compare notes on bilingual design, degraded-mode specifications or privacy defaults; I usually learn as much from those exchanges as I offer. Organisers of transit, accessibility and procurement events may write too, with the audience and the date.
Some things I cannot do. I will not discuss live procurements, any agency's data or contract terms, or Halvery's financial results, and this page is not a route for vendors pitching to our product organisation. I am not pursuing executive roles elsewhere. I read every message myself and reply in English or French, normally within ten working days.
