Where a conversation with me can start, and where it has to stop

Studios build their games on our engine for five years at a stretch, so every change I make has to survive inside projects we will never see.

I read three kinds of message with particular interest. A nominating committee chair or search partner with a directorship that fits my Board Readiness page should tell me the company's business, the committee in question, the meeting calendar and any connection with Sternhollow, its customers, its suppliers or Pelloway Growth Partners, because I check conflicts before I agree to meet. Engineering leaders who want to compare notes on incident reviews, reproducible builds, licence policy or GPU planning are welcome; I learn as much from those exchanges as I offer. Organisers of events for engineering leaders may also write, though I accept only a few invitations a year.

There are limits. I cannot discuss Sternhollow's customers, their unreleased games, our security findings or anything about our results that the company has not published, and I am not a route into our sales or procurement teams. I am not considering executive roles while the engine-core programme is unfinished. Please use the contact details on this page; I answer personally, normally within a week, in English or French.
