Chief Human Resources Officer Europe

Start with the board and its relationships

A published roster, a recognised qualification and a fair grade are promises a clinic makes to its staff, and I hold the board to their cost.

If you are a chair, a nomination committee member or a search adviser, a short note describing the company, its ownership, the composition of its supervisory board and the committee you have in mind is enough to begin. Please say whether the company has any relationship with Zirbenau Kliniken, because that decides whether a conversation can go further. I am glad to compare notes with other people leaders on co-determined rostering, international recruitment ethics and pay transparency, and I occasionally speak with nursing and human resources students. I cannot help with job applications to our clinics, patient admissions or complaints; our clinic teams handle those directly. I am not considering another executive role, and I do not take recruitment agencies' requests for introductions to our staff. Any external appointment would follow a review by my chief executive and our supervisory board chair.
